Five month have passed after we have finished our DTS, and I am so curious to hear about you. How are you? What are you doing? What are your plans?
At the end of our school I mentioned my interest to do "Phase-II" in Denver. When I came home, there was already money on my account, I got a good flight and everything worked out easy. Thanks God! He provided also for the second school.
It was nice to see Peter Waren again. The school gave me a good foundation for ministry. It was organized like our DTS. Weekly changing speakers, talking about: Pitfalls of Leadership, Evangelism, Raising Support, Spiritual Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Public Speaking, Counseling, Personal Gifts, Apologetics ...
We had daily work-duties (2h), three times a week worship/intercession (2h), and once a week local outreaches in the evening.
The rooms at the Base are a lot bigger than on the ship. I shared with seven other girls my bedroom. The boys slept in a dormitory with nineteen beds. 7.30-8.30 am in the morning is Quiet Time. During the week 10.00 pm everybody has to be in the room, 10.30 pm Lights Out. (Phase II students had a little more freedom). In all activities outside the classroom we were mixed with the DTS-students.
As in our school, there was a lot extra-work to do in the "free"-times. Part of the school was a project everybody had to do over the period of three month. We had to choose a non-reached people-group to work out a program of evangelism specially for them. We had to do a lot of research to find out about people, land and culture. We had to contact missionaries and organisations working with these people to find out what has been done already.
The most things God did in me during this school happened outside the classroom. It was a challenging time - not easy.
At the end of August I will go back to Denver to work as staff there for the next year. Right now I am back in Germany to raise up support. If anybody of you feel called to support me (yeah!) please send all $ Dollar-checks to:
YWAM-Denver

Please make checks payable to "Youth With A Mission" and add a little note separately to indicate whom you want to support.
Another possibility using a bank account is to remit money to a Base in Germany which is connected with Denver.

I also need prayer: Please pray for a supporter-team and for my visa.
Tuesday morning, 27.07.99, I have an interview in Berlin concerning my visa - they already rejected my first try.
Whatīs going on in Denver, what will be my part?
The focus in Denver is the training:
In Denver you donīt apply for a special position. Every three month you get another work. You always have serving responsibilities (like kitchen, hospitality, office ...) and spiritual responsibilities (like DTS-staff, intercession/outreach leading...) So sometimes you are a leader and sometimes a follower. To me this structure allows a lot of character-growth. I still donīt know which responsibility I will have in the first three month. So far the news about me.
I would love to hear from you too. My adress (until the end of August) :
