To all my dear and precious friends I shared time with during the DTS Oct.98
Dear brothers and sisters,
It´s time again to let you know something about me and I love to do it now. To think about all of you and our time together is always very precious !!! The first thing, everybody should know, is, that René and I got engaged on the 14th of September in St. Petersburg !!!! We don´t know yet, when we are going to marry, but I tell you guys, there is a new wedding coming up ...
So, you see, I have been in Russia and I must say: it was a wonderful time, not only because of the special event that took place there (...:-)), but most of all, because God has shown us so much of himself there. We were in Russia for 4 weeks and worked alongside missionaries from the organziation OM. It was a privilege to get to know them and it often reminded me of my time onboard, where also a lot of wonderful people are living for God´s purpose.
Russia itself seemed also a little bit known to me, because some things are like in Africa: for example: bush taxis (they call them mini buses) and that coming in time is not that important and often impossible (because of the traffic situation).
In a small drug rehabilitation center, where we could live for 5 days, we had the most wonderful experiences . I will never forget the sunday, when we went to church. You could see their love to Jesus in so many ways: they invited people to church on the way there, their testimonies were full of joy and excitement, waiting for the bus,they used the time to sing and praise God and to give their testimonies. It was awesome !!!! I´m so thankful that God gave me this time with them. He is really changing people´s life !!!
Back in Germany I am busy with getting prepared for my study and getting involved in a youth evangelization, that takes place in my town.
After having some questions about going on with my study or not, I got the impression, that God´s wants me to be there for HIS sake, because his light shall shine there, too. I´m very curious what is happening over the next months. I´m sure, it will be good, because God has promised it and HE doesn´t lie !!!
Just a short letter, but I hope you could see, that I´m doing fine and that I feel safe in my father´s arms.
