It’s time to write you again. Exactly one year ago I came back from India where I was in the children’s home. Now one year later, I still remember many details and I feel more and more, how this experiences changed me. Yes, it’s nearly one year, since I came back, but still some days ago a woman came to me and said: "Oh, Irene, are you just back from your trip...!!" By this I can see, how the time is running. Now, once more I can tell you about some news in my life:
I finished my job as a kindergarten teacher. I closed the door and gave the key to somebody else. But I do not close the door to the kids. I decided to get to know the daily life of a children’s home. I was inspired from the children’s home, where I worked at in India and my desire is, to work in a Team. In the kindergarten I always worked alone. Because of this reasons I searched for a job. I found a place in "Münsingen". It’s about 30 minutes by car from my home town. I start my job on the second august. It’s a children’s home from a Christian organisation. I take care on 9 kids in the age from 4 to 16 years. The kids are from difficult families, where they can’t stay any longer because of the troubles between the parents.
I’m like a mom there... doing all the jobs which a housewife is doing except cooking. I’m looking forward to start. It will challenge me because I didn’t have an education in this direction.
To change my work means also to change my living situation. I lived in a flat-sharing community over 6 years. Now we all go new ways and search other places to live. I will live in Münsingen from the beginning of august. My goodness, I leave my hometown and my valley
But after sharing one flat, I’m looking forward to live alone. I want to try how it is to take care about everything and I need more silence. (Smile, smile I get older. But I doesn’t mean that you can’t phone or visit me)
Since quite a long time I’m learning Czech. I wrote you that in the last letter. The reason is my boy-friend. He lives in Czech, but if God helps us, there is nothing impossible and he will be able to attend a bibleschool here near my home town . It’s not so easy because the possibility for foreigners to stay longer as tree month is small. But we hope.
Now you will think: "Is that something new? She should know this." Yes, of course, I know. But in the last months I had some practical experiences where I could see once more, that God gives me beyond I can think of or even ask for!!

I knew I need to look for a flat in Münsingen where I will work. So one day I laid in my bed and spoke with my God: "God my hearts desire is to find a small flat in an old woman’s house. She should be a Christian and it should be nice to talk to her. But I can only pay a small amount. So that’s what I think of."
I know that God is not an answermaschine, but I can tell him my deepest needs. When I came back home after looking for flats, I was not sure if I should take one of them. The flat was good, but not exactly what I desired. Should I wait? Does God give me anything better? I waited. Two days later a woman phoned me. She heard, that I was searching a flat. I went to see the house and immediately I said "Yes" Why?: It was a small cosy home under the roof even with a balcony. It costs me much less then I thought. The woman was old, but good for talking about interesting themes. She was a Christian and She has been also a kindergarten teacher as I am!!! I was nearly speechless..!!! Without many obstacle God gave me what my heart desired and even more! It doesn’t function every time like that. But this time, it was a kiss from my heavenly father, saying: "See, I love you my child!" |
I wish that in the next days, you can experience Gods love personally. He never lets me down . No, he gives us what we need and even beyond that. Watch out, be aware, open your eyes, then you will not miss Gods goodness.
