How are you? I finally asked Jan about the DTS web site address again since it has been so long I forgot what it was. I wanted to know what was going on with everyone. Wow, a few of us getting married and some having babies. Great!! I am encouraged to know that our DTSers are still seeking after the things of God and growing more like Christ everyday, and enjoying the blessings along the way.
I am in Richmond, Virginia. I thought I would be here only three months as a temporary nurse at a hospital but the Lord had other plans. I feel in love with Richmond and the people here in this city. I am so blessed by my church, New Life Outreach International, my pastor is Victor Torres who was saved through David Wilkerson's ministry-TEEN CHALLENGE. I have been singing with the praise and worship team for almost one year and now I am stepping out as a worship leader. Who would of thought that I would be doing that for Jesus?! I love it, it's my heart to worship Jesus with all that I am. Yeah GOD!! God has been revealing to me who I am in Him and how He has made me. It's great to realize who we are in Christ, it brings such completeness in your life.
Not only am I involved with my church but connecting with "the church of Richmond", meaning that all churches are coming together as one. I have found that other Christians within the community have the same vision to establish a 24 hour, 7 days a week worship and prayer center. There will be constant worship and intercession within Richmond soon, God has placed it within our hearts. I am so excited to see what the Lord is doing here within America.
I was excited to hear about Jon's ordination in New York. I wasn't able to go but some did from the east coast. Congratulations Jon!!
