Fula Team Synopsis :

Car Struck - 9 kb Our mission we chose to accept from the Lord was to reach out to the Fula people group in the Futa Jalon area of Guinea, West Africa with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We spent two weeks living in the village of Peguetti outside the town of Telimele.
Drama team - 11 kb There Pastor Lamine and his church embraced us, honored us with their incredible hospitality, and shared about the Fula culture, religion of Islam, and native Pular language. The church in Peguetti helped us to see and learn how they live, cook, and relate to one another. It was a very helpful introduction to our eight weeks of outreach.

Worship on the Mali mountain - 8 kb The last six weeks of outreach we spent in Labe, a city that is central to the Futa Jalon area. Our first week there we spent in prayer, fasting, and interceding for the Muslim people of Labe. The Fula people are credited with bringing Islam to all of West Africa. Their people group is heavily immersed in Islam. It is not "just religion" but a way of life.
Puppets show - 5 kb The Lord God opened up doors for us to begin presenting our "Open Airs" - our evangelical dramas, puppet plays, personal testimonies, and the proclamation of the Gospel of Christ. Three days a week we would go to a different market place or street corner in Labe or in Pita to do an open air. We were also able to visit the prison in Labe and in Pita to pray with the prisoners and share the gospel.
Jan speech - 13 kb During our time in Labe, we witnessed the Holy Spirit draw eleven people to believe in the Lord Jesus and accept Him as their Savior.

In addition to our open airs, we visited a small Christian school in Labe twice. There we did our puppet presentation for the children, shared our personal testimonies of Christ's work in our lives, and played games with the children. The church, which runs the school, also invited our ladies to meet with the women's Bible study to share in the study of God's word.

Waterfall - 9 kb We enjoyed our interaction with the Christians in our host church, Eglise Protestant, as well as the many people who came to us with questions about Jesus and Christianity. We continue to pray for those who made the decision to follow Jesus, that He will strengthen them as they face probable persecution and continue to help them understand His Word in the Bible.
