up JULY 1999
Hey Y´all!
So, after I sent you a short mail, that you know I´m still alive : ) , I tell you more about what happened here at home since I´m back.
But where can I start now? I´m more than 4 months at home and sometimes it´s very hard to stay here at the moment. But coming home was quite possitive. Everybody was interested in my time far away from them. You know, not everybody wanted to hear really everything, but there are people who "squeezed" me to get all the informations. It was and still is great to be with my friends here and to have a few of them who really understand me.
Two of my best friends did a DTS on the Anastasis before and together it´s so much easier to let other people know about experiences, especially when we try to give them a feeling of our Worship etc. Already before I left for DTS, they started an Intercession group with some of the people of our youth group and me ( I know I already wrote a bit about this group, but I just repeat it.). And now it´s awesome to be back and to see how peole grew in that time I was on the ship. But at the moment we have some problems with unity, different opinions about things and also in the church where we want to start some new things that are not welcomed by everybody. Please pray for us, we really need it.
We are sure that the enemy doesn´t like what we do and that he wants to destroy what we already could do. But I have to say that other things worked out in an amazing way. In April we could have our first youth service (the idea for that came last August or September when the Intercession group was still new) and people loved it. Hallelujah!
Pentecost, 21-24 may, three friends and me went to a Festival where Jack Deere (maybe some of you know his book "Surprised by the power of the Spirit") taught and also Bryn Hayworth- an awesome Worship leader- was there. We had a great time and to our surprise we met a girl from another town who Claas, one of my friends had met on the ship. She was there with other people from her youth group that we in our Intercession group prayed for a few times before. Are you with me? Immediately we felt comfortable around them. We sat together and worshiped God and one night we prayed with them 3 hours (12-3 in the night). It was just awesome.
One of the last weekends I visited a friend who lives in the same town these people we met before are living. I knew that I would propably meet them in the sunday-service and so it was. They were quite surprised and I was very happy. And now it comes. The girl who my friend knew before, introduced me to her sister. I felt that I somehow know her and suddenly I knew that I had met her on the ship! She was in the DTS after ours and we had talked one time when I came to a Community meeting. She told me that after that worship we had together with them on our last day, the group was more open and their Worship was more released. Isn´t that a great news? Praise the Lord!!!
One other girl told, that her knee we prayed for is better since this festival.
It´s good to see spiritual warfare working at home. Especially in our Intercession group we are very interested in how this warfare works and I hope we could already help people to understand.
We are also thinking a lot about missions. One friend has the gift of evangelism very clearly and we other people still try to find out where exactly our gifts are.
In August I will go to Switzerland and I hope I´ll meet a lot of you. After that I will move to another town to study. Yes, I finally know what I want! I want to study in Marburg, a town ca. 150-200 km from here so I can be back home in Kassel in around 2 hours by train. Later I can work with children, adults, old or disabled people. It´s a wide spectrum and during studying I can decide what exactly I want, in which area I want to help people. I´m excited how it´s going to be; to study, to live alone ( or maybe with some others together).
This is gonna be another big change in my life and I´m a bit sad, because of my friends who are living in another town already and then I live even farer away and I will really miss them a lot. But propably it won´t be hard like this. We can see each other on the weekends and inbetween we all have enough to do with studying. Anyway, these are all details.
The first e-mails I got from a few of you made me realizing how much I miss being around you. I hope, we get the chance to see each other soon.
I finish for now. Please feel free to write back. God bless you
Yours Ulli-Bulli
