Just after my brother died, i went to the DTS meeting in Switzerland, near
OEY. A very small village near an another small city, near an another tiny village, ...etc, the whole stuff packed in huge, big mountains and thousand of flying bells (Some swiss people still thing that the cow fly ... everybody outside Switzerland know that only bells can fly). Look at the picture, does it not look like Swiss TRADITION ?.
There we went into a small, tiny, cool and cold "chalet". A FreundNature Chalet, which mean no electricity, no shower, no cooking gas. The light comes from a solar battery (when not a rainy weather), and was soon gone. Poor cooker. Very friendly country for ... the cow and the marmotte.
Of course, to testify that somebody is living there, it looks quite impossible, we have to put the flag (the FreundNature one of course) ont the mast. According to my personnal interpretation, it should means : "we are cold, come to freeze with us". But Swiss pepole mean usually, somebody here, you are welcome.
And the last day, a couple a belge people stopped to sleep there ... They could enjoy a long evening of prayer, worship and joy, joy, joy (in my heart).
But guy, the heat was in my heart and after Oliver activated one small, tiny hour charging wood in the cheminee, Ursula making boiling water, Irene cookies, Rebekka greetings, Elsbeth songs, Daniel crazyness, Jan "Big hug", Esther F. big smile, Ulrike sweat shyness, Pam cold american "jokes", Regula clever welcomes, we all were able to enjoy the day and the next one and the next one.
We mostly spent our time sharing about what God did, is doing and is going to do in our lives. We had several long walk into the nearest city. And we had the chance to be in the middle of a musical city event, wich allowed Oliver to danse some Rock'n'Roll in the middle of the street. Oh, this guy is quite grazy and so funny (when not serious).
My best "souvenir" is the intercession evening. We spent hours praying God for Himself and after a while we all were praying for this country. For me, it was a little bit like heaven meeting the earth.
